Thanks for your questions.
Louise, there are some great camping spots around the lake but none right at the marina. If you rent a cabin at the marina you can keep your boat at the marina.
None of the camping areas are very far from the marina to run over by water for gas and supplies. Stop in and say hello while you are here. You can call the Corps for availability of camp sites 706-334-2248
The water level is great, not too high so lets hope it stays that way, better too much than not enough!
The swallows are back this year. They return each year to the marina, using the same nests from previous years. They just do a little renovating on the old nests then start their families. Several families use the nests in succession throughout the summer then they all leave together, usually about August. It is something to see when they get ready to leave as there are usually hundreds of them.
Any fishermen out there want to give a fishing report, please feel free to send me something. I get asked a lot "How's the fishin" so would be good to have specifics to pass on.
Till next time, hope you come and enjoy this beautiful lake
Denise

Hello,
Welcome to the first post on our new blog, we are experimenting and any suggestions are welcome.
The lake is at full pool and looking great. Today there has been lots of people checking out the lake and driving around in the sunshine. It's been a little chilly, not as warm as was forecast but still nice for April.
We are looking forward to a good summer, hoping for good lake levels. I heard a new lake record for striped bass was caught recently, 35 lbs I believe. So come and stay in cabin for the weekend and try to catch yourself a record fish.
The marina has boat docks available so please call if you need any information,
Denise
